The Spokane Conservation District only accepts applications & resumes for open positions. In addition to staff positions, we regularly advertise unpaid/for-credit internships and paid internships. All positions require the SCD job application.
- Spokane Conservation Specialist - The Spokane Conservation District seeks to hire an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team to organize the Spokane County Voluntary Stewardship Program (VSP) for plan implementation, outreach, awareness, and project development. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills in working with private landowners in a non-regulatory environment. This position will also assist the Spokane Farm Corridor Program.

Join our volunteer list! The SCD maintains a volunteer pool for a variety of programs throughout the year, and the program is vital to not only the SCD, but to natural resources throughout Spokane. The projects vary during the year and include:
- Willow Warriors: volunteers head out in kayaks and canoes on Hangman Creek to plant 3,000 willows in two days. Usually the last weekend in April.
- Stream bank restoration work
