Farm and Food Symposium
November 5 @ 8:00 am - November 6 @ 5:00 pm$150.00
The Farm and Food Symposium is a two-day, in-person event where progressive farmers (small and large), ag industry professionals, consumers and other conservation partners will gather to gain a deeper understanding of the ecological practices and the economic incentives of regenerative farming.
This year’s theme is Regenerative Agriculture: Better Soil, Better Food, Better Health. Our keynote speaker for the conference will be Ray Archuleta, Certified Professional Soil Scientist with the Soil Science Society of America. Ray has over 30 years’ experience as a Soil Conservationist, Water Quality Specialist, and Conservation Agronomist with NRCS. We are vey excited to host Ray as he speaks to a vast audience encouraging and helping them achieve their regenerative agriculture goals and objectives – whether they are a farmer, rancher, processor, restaurant, retailer, or involved consumer.
In addition to Ray Archuleta, attendees will get to choose up to 10 classes and workshops on a variety of subjects lead by local leaders and professionals including climate resiliency, nutrition, carbon sequestration and water resources. There will also be a track for forestry professionals that allows them to earn CEU credits. Other standout features of the conference include several panel discussions, break out meetings to address food insecurity to cultivate a more sustainable food system, and a social event featuring locally sourced food where audience members can share what they are learning along the way.
