Waikiki Springs Restoration Project
April 21 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
FreeAs part of a larger effort to restore salmon habitat in the Spokane River Watershed, the Spokane Conservation District has partnered with the Spokane Tribe to design a fish passage and channel restoration project in the Waikiki Springs reach of the Little Spokane River. While the bulk of the project is still in the design phase, phase 1 will kick-off this spring with a shoreline planting party.
Spokane Conservation District is looking for volunteers to help install approximately 800 plants along the main stem of the Little Spokane River. The planting will take place on Friday, April 21st.
Please contact Jacob Taylor at Spokane Conservation District if interested at 509-535-7274 ext. 240.
